Vaillant has two different types of heat exchangers which could be present, these being the primary and secondary heat exchangers. The use of the primary heat exchanger is used to raise the temperature of the water inside of the boiler system; you’ll spot them in most if not all boilers. When it comes to the secondary, you’ll only see this in a combi boiler, this lets the system allow the heat to be transferred from one to the other.
You’ll be able to see thus part in 7 different types of boilers, including the Valliant VCW 280 XT, VCW 280 T, VCW 282 E, to name a few.
We’d like to advice our customers not to try and install any parts to their system unless they are a full trained gas safe technician. If you are looking for a specific part which you can’t find or seek advice, get in contact with our support team via email or telephone.
